On Wednesday the 17th of October, it was the day of my groups repeat print length, our four screens had been developed, ready for us to start printing. First of all we had to lay one of our screens on the table and put against the bar, measure from the bar to the line on the screen, this was 14cm, we then had to put a piece of tape down and measure 14cm from the bar again, to then draw a straight line horizontally along the tape, we then laid a piece of the drafting film onto the table, lining up to the line again, once we done this we placed the screen back on top of the drafting film to check it was measured up correctly we then placed the screw on the screen up to the bar and the nut up to the screen and tightened these. We then placed our 'T' bar onto the screen and placed against the stopper, we then measured the screen which was 59.5cm and made sure there was a gap this length between every stopper so that our design would match up correctly. Once we had done this, we then tightened every screw and nut on each screen and placed a 'T' bar on every screen, making sure the screen was matched up correctly to its drafting film underneath. Moreover, the last step before printing was to tape up the screens around their edges so that no ink could get through to small areas that would create a mistake.

My own colour ways:

After every screen was used, we had to wash it out and let it dry before printing again, we also had to use a hairdryer to dry the dye on the fabric before printing again as it may smudge if its not completely dry, the process took awhile but with our group and a few others helping to print, we got it done within a reasonable amount of time.
