Due to Morag's work load becoming very busy for a couple months, I was unable to work with her through that time, however, she got in contact with me to ask if I'd like to see her again to catch up on what's been done since last visiting her.

Morag's job in Morston she started in October 2018 has been developed and took progression; the last time I visited this job was around November, and it was striped of everything, there was the builder and electricians working within it, it wasn't furnished, there was no flooring put down etc. However, I visited the site again on the 25th January 2019 and it was completely different, most of the rooms were furnished, all of the walls were painted, the floors had flooring and carpet put down, it was getting to the final outcome; it was interesting to see the transformation and how an interior designer can change the space so extravagantly. Friday 25th January was all about the meeting at the Morston site with the client, his partner and an architect from SMG architects (Sheringham), this meeting took place due to the client wanting an extension on the side of the house; a glass garden building. When we first arrived on site around 12:30pm Morag was talking to the clients about smaller details of the building, what worktop surface they'd like (Morag brought samples of these so they could visualise this) and where to put soap/shower dishes within the shower area, every design decision Morag makes has to be taken into consideration by the clients.

Furthermore, around 1:30pm the architect came round to the site and sat down with the client and Morag to discuss what the client would like and Morag's opinion on this. We all went outside to view the area where the client would eventually like their extension to go, the architect analysed the area and gave positive and negative comments about this. the architect had drawn out 3D designs of a potential outcome of this building to show the client and Morag, giving them a more ideal view of what it would look like, there were many different discussions about this and whether to have the roof as class or not and the wall in which the building would go next to; this being a flint wall (the glass put next to this would easily become damp and dirty). The architect listened to what the client wanted and made notes of this, and stated that he would put these into new design ideas for the extension that he would show them on the next meeting. There is a process of development which is discussing ideas that will work/ won't work and creating a solution for this to eventually get put into action.

Moreover, once the architect had left, Morag finished up with discussing the fabrics of the blinds in the living room area, they already had checked, long length curtains, however, need a fabric for the blinds and for the puffer seat that is placed in the centre of the room. Morag brought around 10 different fabric books to the site to show the clients and give them her advice and let them choose which one they prefer. Once they came to a conclusion Morag can get in contact with her blind makers and send them the fabric so that they can be made, these are finishing touches to this project.

This was the main part of my day of work experience with Morag, before and after visiting site I made a call to a blind company about sending samples straight to one of her clients so that they can view this material. Morag also showed me the architects plans for the extension, showing digital scaled drawings of the building, existing room plans and different views of the extension; what this potentially could look like. On these drawings the scale was 1:100, I had an idea that this meant it was converted into metres, however, Morag explained this to me and using a scale ruler, I worked out the square metre of certain rooms. This was mainly because the square metre of the kitchen/diner without the stair case measured to be the same square metre as the extension room, therefore Morag could state this to the client so that they could understand a visualisation of size for the extension.
