Although my style is usually quite neat and specific; I don't usually make a lots of mess and experiment with different media, I have began to experiment with this within my project. Our group wants to make a more playful design for Hunter as some of their garments are quite plain, however, we still want to keep the 'middle-class' audience, therefore I have began to experiment with abstract design, shapes and texture to create fun, vibrant designs. One way I have produced this is by using the different paint tools on photoshop and experimenting with this, creating slightly messy, abstract designs.

Here are sections of these paintings:

I feel they work well due to the fact the colours work well together, the looseness of the painting creates a fun, playful style and the layering of marks are interesting. However, I do feel these are too playful and maybe too messy, especially for our target audience, we don't want to make the designs look tacky or unprofessional. It was good to experiment with this tool, however, thinking back to the audience I feel this style isn't going to work.
