On Monday the 1st of April we were put into our Rebel Tartan, fashion and textile collaboration groups. From this point, we were introduced to the project by project leader Juliana Sissons and spoke to Giles Jackson who's the founder of the Blue Tartan. We were then given some time in our groups to make mind maps of what we think human trafficking is and what relates to this topic, from this we then made a decision on what we want to look into for our project. We came up with the topic of loss of identity and how people are transported and deported; being dehumanised and seen as an object- possessed by somebody else ( no control).

We made notes of links to this topic; maps, travelling, passports, dangerous routes, trains, grid lines, unidentified faces and an overall sense of identity theft and control. Therefore, we each went away and done some research on our topic and the topic of trafficking in general to help with our development and focus. I created an initial mood board, using images from my Pinterest boards, and creating a small colour scheme within this:

I showed this to my group and I had positive feedback from this and also used three of the colours within our current colour scheme. I suggested adding a golden yellow to this colour scheme, and the group also suggested a darker colour to create a contrast, therefore we came up with this colour scheme below:

Furthermore, today I have been doing more research on the topic, looking at more information on human trafficking, areas in which this takes place the most and adding more pins to my Pinterest boards and also making mood boards.
